04/26/2007: "Serial Readers"
Myth or Truth? Crime fiction readers prefer to read books that form part of a series, with the same protagonist as the detective / PI / police officer.
What do you think? Minette Walters has certainly been most successful without creating a central character to appear in her books. But then there is always Agatha Christie, whoche Poirot and Miss Marple books were heaps more popular than her stand-alones.
