Thus begins Jennifer Crusie's "Tell Me Lies", which is oh-so-mistakenly classified as women's fiction and a romance. To me, this reads as a perfect example of a murder mystery: there characters are original and 3D, the plot is quirky, the pace a perfect balance of quick without leaving you behind. There twists in the tail are unpredictable.
