12/27/2007: "Was 2007 a Year for Murder?"

music: Where the wild roses grow
mood: musing

It's that time of the year again: the time for reflection and summaries and lists. The list of murder mysteries I read this year is frighteningly short. The list of murder mysteries I wrote this year is even shorter (only 4 days of the year left and I still have 170 pages of "Murder @ Play" to deep edit - the book I promised myself to make publishable in 2007).

I honestly cannot recall any particularly good crime fiction I've read lately, apart from the latest Coben (The Woods), and even that one was not one of his best.

Feel free to email me (you will find the address - bot-encrypted - on my website) with your own list of crime novels you loved this year [own books welcome :-) ] or write a whole blog entry on the topic....
