Margery Allingham Short Mystery Competition 2014

Highly Commended

Ian White

Picture Imperfect

Ian White has been writing scripts and telling far-fetched stories for longer than he wants to admit. He has written screenplays for television and film, taught screenwriting in New Zealand and still suffers from Post Traumatic Embarrassment Disorder following a brief career as an actor and stand-up. Ian is delighted, honoured and (quite frankly) amazed that the first short story he has ever been foolish enough to release into the world has been shortlisted for the CWA Margery Allingham Competition. He is currently over-thinking his first novel and his first book of film journalism – ‘Raising the Stakes: Witchcraft and Black Magic in British Cult Cinema’ – is scheduled for release in late 2014.
